Lucila Ramos is a Mexican artist and storyteller, in her photography explores issues of feminine identity and human rights. She is a member of Women Photograph a non-profit that launched in 2017 to elevate the voices of women and nonbinary visual journalists.

Since 2009 she has been portraying women in anthropological projects and has worked in editorial and fashion photography. In her series of portraits: 'Women of Light,' she developed an ethnographic project with women of Mexican ethnic roots for three years.

Lucila has collaborated with UN WOMEN on a book for ‘Spotlight’ a global initiative to fight gender violence. Her work has been featured in Mexico and The United States: Mazatlan Museum of Art, Resplandor Art Gallery in Oaxaca, and San Mateo County History Museum, in California. She has also worked with Reforma Newspaper, Noroeste Newspaper, Televisa Editorial, IPN (National Polytechnic Institute), Galeria Hispanica Contemporanea, Aduanas Magazine, Infinito Editorial, a! Diseño Magazine, and some of the most important fashion agencies in Mexico, City. She has published in L’ESPRESSO Magazine Italia, ONU Mujeres, Spotlight Initiative, L’OFFICIEL Arabia, Cuartoscuro Magazine, Xavier Mascaro's Artbook 'Departure' in the Saatchi Gallery and Canal 40.

Ramos lives between Mexico City and Dallas.
